December News
Welcome to December - my favorite time of year. There is so much excitement in the air, along with thoughts and signs of giving. We are going to do a variety of Reader's Theaters, fun art projects, Colonial Day, and Polar Express Day when the students get to wear their pajamas. Colonial Day is the 15th. The students dress in colonial attire and participate in colonial activities all day. We will make hornbooks, bread, butter, ornaments, dance, play games, and have a treat. Polar Express Day is on the 19th, which is also the the day of our school sing along. The students wear their pj's and we watch the movie Polar Express, have popcorn, cookies, etc. Additionally on that day, the students exchange gifts. We will soon draw names and then the students need to buy a $1.00 gift for the exchange. If a student is unable to purchase a gift, please let me know and I will get the gift for them to exchange. This is a very busy month, because we also have our work displayed on the school's front bulletin board the week of the 15th.
