Welcome to December - my favorite time of year! There is so much excitement in the air, along with thoughts and signs of giving. We are going to do a variety of Reader's Theaters, fun art projects, Colonial Day, and Polar Express Day. Colonial Day is the 21st. The students dress in colonial attire and participate in colonial activities all day. We will make hornbooks, bread, butter, ornaments, dance, play games, and have a treat. Polar Express Day is on the 23rd, which is also the the day of our school sing along. The students wear their pj's and we watch the movie Polar Express, have hot chocolate, popcorn, cookies, etc. Additionally on that day, the students exchange gifts. We have drawn names and each student needs to buy a $1.00 gift for the exchange. If a student is unable to purchase a gift, please let me know and I will get the gift for them to exchange. This is a very busy month.
I won't see most of you, so I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and best of luck with those New Year's resolutions:-)
